The Need for Accessories

I have always been a sucker for guys with bikes but I never could understand why they have to have Parts and Accessories for Motorcycles although it will not all be used. My boyfriend has all types of tools and parts and accessories that are still new, and he has not even touched yet. He tells me it is just there in case he does need it. Or if one of his biker boys needs something fixed, he has the part and can lend it to him. I still do not understand the logic, because my boyfriend never fixes his bike himself.
